I found this show while poking around in Community Video. I don't believe it really belongs here, but I don't think it fits in at Feature Films either. But I thought it was interesting enough to bring it to your attention. Pick one and take a look:

All I can say is that if those guys think Ida Lupino's THE HITCH-HIKER is a "really bad movie" they are utter morons.

There are no bad movies...just ones they don't like.

I don't know of any really bad movies. Then again, MST3K was one of my favorite shows. Also, Elvira's Movie Macabre. And "The Cool Ghoul's Scream-In" a local show from Cincinnati from the early 70's (my sister worked at the TV station WXIX and got me an autographed picture!). These facts alone probably disqualify me from any further discussion. And if my TV was not a color set, it wouldn't make much difference to me. And if Adam Sandler were abducted by aliens ... well, maybe they would understand his films. That being said, I must agree that calling the films "really bad" is presumptious and irresponsible. It seems to be a mere marketing ploy to get people to watch the show. However, i did find the low-budget production and corny gags to be oddly charming. And if anyone can tell me what the music that was playing during the first lead-out to the logo (sounded like some 30's dance band music, which i love) i would be eternally grateful!!!
These are just my thoughts. any resemblance between them and rational real-world thinking is purely coincidental and highly unlikely. On the Great Ship Of Life, i'm sure that i would be quickly selected to be jettisoned at the first sign of water accumulating below decks.

I find particular solace in the words of Anthony Balfour (1848-1930)

"Nothing matters very much, and few things matter at all".

and Captain Beefheart:

"The stars are matter. We're matter. But it doesn't matter".

And just to end on a positive note ... assuming that wages were paid to anyone connected with this show, it does feed Social Security, which will lead (hopefully!) to my not annoying people at urban intersections with a plastic bucket and a cardboard sign.

Excelsior!

I agree on at least one point, and that is who's to say which movies are good or bad. "Frankenstein Meets The Space Monster" is one flick I never get tired of watching. It's all about what the individual likes. Keep watching the skies!

The MST3K crew proves a movie doesn't have to be awful to be mocked with their Rifftrax business.

If you're good enough, you can chuckles doing Citizen Kane.

Don't forget the REST of the MST3K crew doing "Cinematic Titanic!" Different flavor, but still tastes good. Love Mike, but Joel is my hero... partly because he hired Mike!
